Duration: 3-6h – difficulty: medium
The path that leads to the peak of this mountain is absolutely scenic and amazing, it starts in Maiori and climbs up among lemon orchards and a luxuriant Mediterranean scrub, along the way there are many typical ruins and water sources. At 865 m on the sea level, an ancient monastery and its little church rise up on a grassy plateau. If you have enough energies to keep going, the peak is 15’-20’ of walk from the monastery, at 1015 m on the sea level; from there, the landscape is astonishing, the whole Salerno Gulf is before your eyes, from Capri to Licosa point, and looking towards north and west you can enjoy the view of the Vesuvio and the Apeninnes.
